Sketches from Rome

Our first cappuccino at the Musei Capitolini Cafe. It goes great with a bomba (cream filled donut) and the spectacular panoramic view of Rome. The foam on top almost forms a skin it's so rich.

The Coliseum from the south side.

The Chiesa del Gesu (Jesus Church). Built in the Counter Reformation for Ignatius Loyola and the Jesuits, and right next door to Loyola's home.

  2. These remind me of Leonard's black/white sketches (except for the cappucino cup). The shadow over the cross - how ominous, but we know the glory that follows...Good that you are truly "in the moment" and capturing it. Now, I'm off to Starbucks. No bomba, but aiming for something close to it. Your writing really stimulates the senses!
